Mary Jo Gilchrest Obituary

We are sad to announce that on September 21, 2025, at the age of 76, Mary Jo Gilchrest of Cape Elizabeth, Maine passed away. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her parents, Edmund Lawler and Mary Lawler. She is survived by: her husband William Gilchrest; her sons, Ryan Gilchrest and Aaron Gilchrest; her grandchildren, Koi Goodno, Olivia Gilchrest, Nash, Aldan Alexander and Piper; and her brothers, Timothy Lawler and Edmund Lawler Jr.. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.

Visitation was held on Thursday, October 2nd 2025 from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the Conroy-Tully Walker Funeral Home of South Portland (1024 Broadway, South Portland, ME 04106). A Mass of Christian burial was held on Friday, October 3rd 2025 at 10:00 AM at the St. Bartholomew Church (8 Two Lights Rd, Cape Elizabeth, ME 04107). A graveside service was held on Friday, October 3rd 2025 at 11:30 AM at the Calvary Cemetery (1461 Broadway, South Portland, ME 04106).
