Bessie I. Thornton Obituary
It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Bessie I. Thornton (Caribou, Maine), who passed away on September 30, 2025, at the age of 93, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Archie Green and Dolly Green (Hafford); her husband Philip Thornton; her children, Roberta Blackstone and Robert Thornton; and her grandson Matthew Thornton.
She is survived by: her children, Cynthia Heron, Jeffrey of Caribou and John Thornton (Karyn) of Woodland; her siblings, Juanita Bugbee and Willard Green of Presque Isle; her grandchildren, Jeffrey Heron, Angela Tavares, Murray "Dan" Blackstone, Jenny Blackstone, Bill Blackstone, Emily Thornton, Megan Thornton and P. J. Thornton; and her son-in-law Murray Blackstone of Caribou. She is also survived by ten great-grandchildren.
