With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Byron D. Skidgel in Caribou, Maine, born in Dexter, Maine, who passed away on October 8, 2023 at the age of 74. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was loved and cherished by many people including : his parents, Donald Skidgel and Phyllis Skidgel (Grant); his wife Susan Kirchner of Caribou; his children, Donald B. Skidgel (Hope) of Caribou, Chris B. Skidgel (Janice) of Mars Hill and Amanda Skidgel (Billie Jo) of Limestone; his sisters, Bonnie Clark (Edward) of Hawthorne, FL and Barbara Bragg (Winston) of Washburn; his grandchildren, Taylor Thibodeau, Chrissy Skidgel, Taylor Skidgel, Sarah Skidgel, Christopher Skidgel Jr., Daniel Skidgel, Chelsea Moulton, Symone Malbaurn and Cameron Murphy; and his siblings-in-law, Gail Dodd, Jeff Fitzherbert and Rick Kirchner.
