He was predeceased by: his parents, Ruth DeMerchant (Curless) and Elray A. DeMerchant; and his wife Brenda DeMerchant (Belmain). He is survived by: his children, Coal, Holli Doody (Matt) of Caribou and Nicole Fox (Joshua Ormsby) of Caribou; his grandchildren, Justin Doody, Jared Doody (Natalie), Jaelynn Doody, Ryleigh Fox, Brenna Fox, Walter and Ada Ormsby; and his siblings, David DeMerchant of Caribou, Diana Adamson of Caribou and Bette Olson of Crouseville.
Viewing will be held on Saturday, October 18th 2025 from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Mockler Funeral Home (24 Reservoir St, Caribou, ME 04736). A funeral service will be held on Saturday, October 18th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the same location.
Donations can be made in his memory to the Aroostook House of Comfort.
