He was predeceased by: his parents, Otis R. Barnes and Anna Barnes (Cummings); his stepmother Betty; and his brothers, John and Alan Barnes.
He is survived by: his brother Dale Barnes of Peatsville, Alabama; his sister-in-law Lois Barnes of Caribou; his caregivers, Jessica Puig (Juan) of Fort Fairfield and Ashley Dion (Shane Graves) of Fort Fairfield; his close friends, Carla DeMerchant and Norma Barnes; and his stepsister Susan Hartley of Fort Fairfield. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews, including special nieces.
