He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Earland Bowie and Mary Bowie; his wife Gertrude; his children, Bennie Jr. (Dawn), Bradley (Christine), Brandon and Maryann Colby (Eric); and his grandchildren, Luchen, Autumn, Curtis, Eric and William. He was also cherished by six great grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.
