He was predeceased by: his parents, Simon Bernier and Edwina Bernier (Perreault); his former wife Gaetan; and his siblings, Robert Parent, Nathan Bernier, Lanis Bernier, Henry Bernier and Janette Parent.
He is survived by: his wife Patricia Bernier; his son Kevin Bernier; and his sisters, Patricia Fortin and Carlene Stroupe. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
