He is survived by: his wife Dorethea "Dorethy" Pierce Della Torre; his children, Mary Elaine, James Ellsworth, Elizabeth Rose (Rick) and Ellen Joy; his grandchildren, Megan (Smith), Ryan, Eric Callahan, Tatiana and Yulia Heggestad; and his great grandchildren, Evelyn and Isla (Smith).
