He was predeceased by: his parents, Manville Thorne and Barbara Thorne (Lord); and his brother Dale Thorne. He is survived by: his daughter Barbara Toye (Benjamin) of Windham; his stepdaughter Leandra Womack (Chris) of Gorham; his siblings, Sharon Osgood (Arthur) of Baldwin and Michael Thorne of Otisfield; and his grandchildren, Lilah, Eleanor, Bryce, Conor and Ava.
