He was predeceased by : his parents, William T. Barnett Sr. and Cecilia Bernadette Barnett (Colberg); his son Eric Barnett; his sister Karen Barnett; and his half-brother Reggie Hartford.

He is survived by : his wife Michele (Lefebvre); his daughter Mariah Jo Barnett (Maurice); his brothers, Michael Barnett (Angela), Peter Barnett (Candy) and William Barnett (Mary); and also David Porter. He is also survived by his nieces and nephews.
