He is survived by: his wife Valerie Brown (Sawtelle); his sons, Marc Fotter (Jessica), Scott Fotter (Amy) and Jay Brown; his grandchildren, Zachary Brown, Colby Brown, Brooke Fotter, Ella Brown and Harper Brown; his siblings, John Brown Jr. (June) and Beth Moffett; and his brother-in-law Patrick Godin. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
