He was predeceased by: his parents, Lloyd Shaw and Lois Shaw (Carmichael); and his brothers, Kim, Trent, Matthew, Peter and Storme.

He is survived by: his siblings, Sarah Polley (Ray) of Pennfield, Timothy A. Shaw of Cooperstown, Mark J. Shaw (Jackie) of Mapleton, Philip D. Shaw (Lisa) of Bangor, Stephen P. Shaw of Easton and Michael J. Shaw of Easton; his nieces and nephews, Christian, Daisy, Joshua, Elijah, Jasmyn, Jo, Dylan, Rebekah, Jacob, Jensen, Marina and Sheri; and his friend Sonja Eyler. He is also survived by six great-nieces and nephews, one great-great niece.
