She was predeceased by: her parents, Raleigh E. Stanwood and Madeline Stanwood (Norwood); her son Robert L. Higgins; and her sister Kathlyn O'Brien. She is survived by: her brother Robert E. Stanwood; her children, Jai M. Higgins (Lynn) and Tasha Higgins (Paul Rozeffe); and her grandchildren, Grace, Tristan, Quincy, Kylie, Valentina, Valedah, Pete and Pepe.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Edith's memory to West Side Food Pantry, MDI Hospital Auxiliary, or Southwest Harbor library.
