He was predeceased by: his parents, L. Vincent Cough and Marjorie L. Cough (Walls); his siblings, Elaine Cousins, Michael and Peter Cough; and his wife Melissa Watership.
He is survived by: his daughter Sarah J. Dedej (Ermal); his granddaughter Annabelle A. Dedej of Arlington, VA; his daughter Sydney M. Cough (John C. Peterson) of Washington, D. C.; his siblings, Mary Trella, Ann McCafferty (Dale), Barbara Cough (Marilyn), Gregory Cough (Carla), Timothy Cough (Brenda), Dennis Cough, David Cough (Linnie), Lawrence Cough (Debbie) and Kevin Cough; and the mother of his children Debbie Walsh. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, November 7th 2026 at 10:00 AM at the Jordan-Fernald (113 Franklin St, Ellsworth, ME 04605).
