He was predeceased by: his parents, Katherine Knox and Frank Knox; his stepmother Alice Knox; his sister Patricia Grzybowski; and his daughter Theresa Melanson.
He is survived by: his brother Frank Knox Jr. (Betty) of Newburyport, MA; his children, Linda Diffenbacher (Jim) of Dracut, MA, Debra Semeraro (Tom) of Groton, MA and Kevin McElearney (Anne) of Falmouth, ME; his nephew Michael Grzybowski (Amy) of Saunderstown, RI; and his significant other Nancy Tozier. He is also survived by 13 grandchildren and many great-grandchildren.
