He is survived by: his wife Phyllis Shields of Farmingdale; his children, Weldon Shields, Jr., Julie (Gary), Debbie Shields and Mary Shields (Betty Chapman); and his stepsons, Randy Barker and Travis Barker. He is also survived by many grandchildren and great grandchildren.
