“I meet Barry at a science fiction convention in Chicago. I think it was WindyCon, but it may have been CapriCon. I think Barry bought one of my paintings. Something you should know, the value of my art may have increased dramatically since I sold them at the conventions. Back in 2005 Wendy and Richard Pini (who created Elfquest) sold some of my art at the Heritage Comics site and one of the pieces they sold went for an estimated price of $1,000 which is way more than I was selling them for...”
