He was predeceased by: his parents, Louis F. Bernard and Effie Y. Bernard (Duprey); and his wife Adrienne Knight. He is survived by: his sons, Sean L. Bernard (Joan) of Fort Fairfield, Joe R. Bernard (Penny) of Fort Fairfield and David Jacob Bernard of Fort Fairfield; his grandchildren, Noah (Stephanie), Jonathan, Jonah and Sare'Bernard; his great grandchildren, Avery, Adrienne and Allison; and his siblings, Roger Bernard (Marcella), Linda Romano (Robert), Donna Greenlaw (late Alfred) and Bonnie Cunningham.
