She was predeceased by: her parents, Harold Sr. McGary and Ethel McGary (Green); her husband Ivan A. Carter; her daughters, Darla Jean Carter and Tammy L. Carter; and her siblings, Harold "Bub" McGary Jr., Ella Mae Michaud, Lucy Michael and Helen O'Neal.
She is survived by: her daughters, Lesa Carson (Rick) of Fort Fairfield and Denise Carter (David "Tex" Godwin) of Bangor; her grandchildren, Brandy (David Osterblom), Joshua (Bethany Taylor), Ashley (Mark Baker), Hillary (Rick Morton) and Tucker Godwin of Bangor; her great grandchildren, Brendan, Brianna Osterblom, Meti, Enoch, Tigist, Justice, Erbeka Taylor, Timothy, Abigail Baker, Kevin and Lillian Morton; and her sister Shirley Flannigan of Hampden. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
