He was predeceased by : his former life partner Melody Sturgeon (Churchill); and his sisters, Shirley Tardy, Mae Lawrence, Doreen MacDougal and Pauline MacDougal.

He is survived by : his children, Benjamin Sturgeon of Fort Fairfield and Linda Sturgeon (James St); his granddaughter Olivia Jamieson of Limestone; his sister Arlene MacDougal of Fort Fairfield; and his close friend Wade Butler of Fort Fairfield. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.

Visitation was held on Thursday, April 11th 2024 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Giberson-Dorsey Funeral Home and Cremation Service (144 Main St, Fort Fairfield, ME 04742).
