It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Sally Hanson of Fort Fairfield, Maine, who passed away on September 13, 2025, at the age of 74, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Walter S. and Mary L. Pelkey (Brayson); and her siblings, Richard, Robert Pelkey and Sheila Pelkey.
She is survived by: her husband Louis A. Hanson of Fort Fairfield; her children, Kevin A. Hanson (Vicki) of Milton, Tracy L. Hanson (Travis MacDougal) of Presque Isle and Holly M. Bell (Jamie) of Presque Isle; her siblings, Franklin Pelkey (Margaret) of Presque Isle and Barbara Lagasse of St. Albans, Vermont; her grandchildren, Brittany Hanson of Westfield, Shawn Hanson of Sebago, Kayla Hanson of Presque Isle, Landon MacDougal of Presque Isle, Noah Holland of Presque Isle and Madison Bell of Presque Isle; and her great grandchild Hudson McIntyre of Westfield. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
She was also a talented knitter, donating countless handmade winter hats to local schoolchildren.
