She was predeceased by: her parents, Waldo Brooks and Doris Daggett Brooks of Forest City; and her husband William Edward Cummings. She is survived by: her son William Edward Cummings Jr.; and her sisters-in-law, Marjorie Towne of Andover, Caroline Kennard of Rumford and Eleanor McKirnan of Santa Ana, Californica. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, those who knew Joan are asked to donate to the Highland Avenue United Methodist Church in Gardiner, Maine, or the Shriner's Hospital for Children at 57 Blossom St, Boston, Massachusetts.
