He was predeceased by: his parents, Lindsay Cooper and Catherine Cooper (King); his sister Donna; and his wives, Jean and Dottie.

He is survived by: his son Greg; his brother-in-law Stanton Whitaker; his stepchildren, Lisa Stoddard, Matthew Stoddard Sr. and Donna Watson (Jamie); his stepgrandchildren, Joseph Grant (Jenna), Chelsey Watson, Cameron Ketchen, Khristopher Barry and Matthew Stoddard Jr.; his stepgreat-grandchildren, Bailey, Ashlynn, Charlotte and Carlos; and his friend Lisa Lennan. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews as well as his bonus family.

A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, November 29th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the Amvets Post 2 Hall.
