With solemn reverence, we commemorate John A. Charles of Fryeburg, Maine, born in Waterford, Maine, whose life came to an end on July 31, 2025 at the age of 88, leaving behind cherished memories. He was predeceased by: his parents, Sherman Charles and Esther Charles; his wife Gloria; his son Danny Charles; and his sister Carol.
He is survived by: his son David; his daughter-in-law Jennifer; his grandchildren, Zachary, Haden, Travis, Jen, Sara, Sydney, Lexi, Leah, Benjamin and Colby; and his sister Jean Hamilton of North Conway. He is also survived by seven great-grandchildren.
A celebration of life will be held on Sunday, August 10th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Fryeburg Fairgrounds Expo Center (1154 Main St, Fryeburg, ME 04037).
In lieu of flowers donations may be made in John's name to the Maine Veteran's Home in South Paris, ME.
