With profound sadness, we say goodbye to Cynthia Austin (Gorham, Maine), whose vibrant spirit touched the lives of many. Cynthia left this world on May 20, 2025 at the age of 88, leaving a void in the lives of so many people. She was predeceased by: her parents, John Hattenburg and Lola Hattenburg; her husband Philip L. Austin; her son John P. Austin; and her grandson D. Benjamin Worster.

She is survived by: her daughter Christy (Austin); her granddaughter Angie Keith (Worster); her son-in-law Barry Cousins; her great grandchildren, Caroline Keith and Emma Worster; and her sisters-in-law, Evelyn Austin and Marion Mains.

A graveside service was held on Thursday, June 5th 2025 at 6:00 PM at the Eastern Cemetery (227 Main St, Gorham, ME 04038).

In lieu of flowers, please make a donation to the Maine State Society for the Protection of Animals in Windham, Maine and help save an abused horse in Gram's memory.
