He was predeceased by : his parents, Beatrice Loper Shaw and James Everett Shaw Sr. Growing. He is survived by : his wife Drema Marston Shaw of Yarmouth, Maine.; and his children, Michael (Stephanie), Kate, Jeremy (Tina), Joseph (Martha), Annaka, Alex and Sarah (Brian).

Visitation was held on Friday, April 12th 2024 from 4:00 PM to 5:00 PM at the Dolby Blais and Segee - Gorham Chapel (76 State St, Gorham, ME 04038). A funeral service was held on Friday, April 12th 2024 at 5:00 PM at the Dolby, Blais & Segee Funeral Home (76 State St, Gorham, ME 04038).
