She was predeceased by: her parents, Oscar Stevenson and Omer Stevenson (Rowe); her husband Arvin Young; and her brothers, Duane, Freeland, Sewell and Vaughn.
She is survived by: her children, Darren Light (Cheryl), Mike Light (Tammy) and Debra Della Cioppa (Anthony); her grandchildren, David Light, Megan Spears, Carrie Clark, Christopher Light and Adam Colson; and her sister Lucretia Howard. She is also survived by several great-grandchildren.
