He was predeceased by: his parents, Bert Suitter and Hazel Suitter (Ellis); his granddaughter Makenna; and his son-in-law Arnold Fitzpatrick. He is survived by: his wife Dianne Suitter (Swim) of Houlton; his daughters, Cindy Tracy (Mike) of Waldoboro, ME., Karen Blackie (Patrick) of Carmel, ME., Carolyn Kelley (Rick) of Linneus, Debi Bartlett (Jason) of Durham, ME. and Amy Ward (Kirk) of Houlton, ME.; his grandchildren, Arin Joudrey (Darryl), Sara Crooker (Toby), Jonathan Blackie (Eliza), Jacob Blackie (Bernice), Melissa Little (Shawn), Kristen McQuade (Shane), Jensen Bartlett, Griffin Bartlett, Felicity Ward (Andrew Moulton), Blake Ward and Rhyker Ward; and his siblings, Connie Barriner, Ervin Suitter, Larry Suitter, Edwin, Maxine, Kenny, Donna, Robert, Ronald, Joann, Marvin, Glenn, Althea, Ray, Jeanette, Darrell and Norma. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Visitation was held on Saturday, September 27th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the Houlton Wesleyan Church (18 Kelleran St, Houlton, ME 04730). A funeral service was held on Saturday, September 27th 2025 at 3:00 PM at the same location.
