She was predeceased by: her parents, Willis Gates and Edna Gates (Knight); her husband Aubrey O. Grant Jr.; and her siblings, Margaret MacDonald, Joanne Larlee, Joyce Michaud, Bill Gates Jr. and Robert Gates.
She is survived by: her son Andrew Grant (Laure) of Scottsdale, AZ; her grandchildren, Kevin (Riley) and Erin (Jordan Mazer); her son Fred Grant (Renee) of Houlton; and her grandchildren, Connor, Benjamin and Ellie. She is also survived by several nieces, nephews, and dear friends.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to either Houlton's Cary Library or The Church of the Good Shepard Episcopal in Houlton.
