He was predeceased by: his parents, Donovan T. Smith and Gertrude Smith (Dearborn); his stepmother Dorothy Smith; his brothers, Richard "Dick" Smith (Abby) and David Smith (Bernice); his nephew Ted Smith; his parents-in-law, Gene and Theresa Roy; and his sister-in-law Jackie Bayer.
He is survived by: his wife Angela Smith; his children, Matthew Smith, Stacy Tufts (Richard) and Andrea Smith (Ken); his grandchildren, Trevor Tufts, Thomas Smith, Alexii West, Kaitlyn Collins, Kelsye Smith and Robyn Smith; and his great grandchildren, Josie Mae Collins, Hallie Smith and Revyn Landry. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, cousins, and in-laws.
