He was predeceased by: his parents, Frank Cottle and Patricia Cottle (Durgin); his wife Eva Cottle; his son Cain Cottle; his brother Michael Cottle; his brothers-in-law, Tom and Patrick Plourde; and his nephew Matthew Roy.
He is survived by: his daughter Cari Cottle (Rebecca Rodgers) of Jay; his adoptive daughter Cara Thibodeau of Livermore; his grandchild Remi Cottle of Jay; his aunt Ruth Putney of Portland; his siblings-in-law, William Plourde (Lee) of Las Vegas, Terri Plourde of Las Vegas, Joe Plourde (Melody) of Jay, Kim Cook (David) of Jay and Kathy Plourde of Murrells Inlet, SC; and his pets, Vinci and Sam. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
