The memory of John R. Grubb of Kennebunk, Maine, who passed away on October 3, 2025 at the age of 61, will forever remain in the hearts of those touched by this precious presence in their lives. As John departs from this earthly realm, his essence lingers — a whisper on the wind, a ripple on the water — a testament to the enduring power of love to transcend the boundaries of life and death. Though John may no longer walk beside us, his spirit lives on in the memories and the legacy John leaves behind.
He was predeceased by: his foster parents, Alton Goodson and Margeurite Goodson (Potvin); his brother Donald Blowers; and his foster brother Daniel Goodson. He is survived by: his foster brother James Goodson (Bonnie) of Kennebunk; his sisters, Shirley Gray and Cindy Reed; and his friend John. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, & cousins; and his many friends.
A memorial service will be held on Thursday, October 16th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 5:00 PM at the Hope Memorial Chapel (480 Elm St, Biddeford, ME 04005).
In lieu of flowers, donations in John's name may be made to the American Heart Association or to the American Cancer Society. Keep John's legacy alive by donating to a charity in need.
