He was predeceased by : his parents, Shirley and John M Powers Sr.; his sister Karen Oropallo; his stepfather William Yarter; and his close friend Lynn Stacey.
He is survived by : his siblings, John M Powers Jr. (Linda) and Joanne Powers; and his stepmother Marlene Powers. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
