He was predeceased by: his parents, Jerome E. Boynton and Addie C Boynton (Ryder); his wife Nancy A. Boynton (Moore); and his siblings, Russel Boynton, Nancy Jordan and Dotty Harvey.

He is survived by: his sister Joanne Boynton Lambdin; and his children, Harold Boynton Jr., Clarence Boynton, Thomas Boynton and Dawn Boynton. He is also survived by his nephews and nieces; and many grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Visitation was held on Friday, January 23rd 2026 from 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the Jordan-Fernald Funeral Home (113 Franklin St, Ellsworth, ME 04605).
