He was predeceased by: his parents, Augustus "Gus" Hood and Cora Hood (Goding); his wife Joyce Keene of Canton; his daughter Ginette Hood; his granddaughter Tara Hood; his children-in-law, Norman Guimond and Linda Hood; and his siblings, Janet Mitchell, Gus Hood and George Hood.
He is survived by: his children, Suzanne Nickerson of Maryland, Lori Hood of New York, Karen Jennings (Rick) of Leeds, Caralynne Guimond of Leeds, Amy Hood of Georgia, Dennis Hood (Yen) of Georgia and Phillip Hood, Jr. of Livermore; his grandchildren, Anna-Laurie, Jasmine, Jason, Sara, Casey, Normand, Nicole, Craig, Floyd, Tanya, Jagger, Jenna and CJ; his great grandchildren, Kai, Andi, Zachary, Spenser, Henry, Willa, Joseph, Evelyn, Ethan, Sarah and Michael; and his brother Richard Hood of Georgia. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
