He was predeceased by: his parents, Benjamin Smith and Leola Smith (Curtis); his wife Delories F. Smith; his siblings, Harry, Lewis Smith, Irene Bowden, Ida Crocker and Pauline Bragdon; and his half-siblings, Clinton Smith and Helen Ridlon.
He is survived by: his stepson Melvin Burnham (Maribeth) of Leeds; his stepgrandchildren, Darren Burnham (Linda), Warren Burnham (Penny) and Kathi Burnham; and his sisters, Ruth Travers and Nellie Mae Rolfe (Raymond). He is also survived by many nieces, and nephews.
