He was predeceased by: his parents, James Albert Melvin and Matilda Hart Melvin; and his sisters, Leona McLain and Nancy Tessier. He is survived by: his wife Elizabeth Louise Taylor; his children, Daniel Jr. (Yuki), Todd (Carla), Melissa Pinette (Paul) and Timothy (Amy); his grandchildren, Daniel III (Raquel), Forrest, Faith and Ethan; and his great grandchildren, Emelia, Evelyn, Wilder, Lucy and Chloe.
