He was predeceased by: his parents, John Carleton and Gladys Conant (Effie); his brother Clint; his wife Betty; and his family, Clinton, Jeannette Conant, Olive, Gene Dubord, Norris, Jackie Conant, Clifford Conant, Ralph Conant, Gene Allen and Lucille Conant.
He is survived by: his children, Dennis (Heidi) of Canton and Debbie Keene (Steve) of Canton; his grandchildren, Natalie Sneller (Matthew) of Canton, Brian Keene (Sarah) of Canton, Tristan Franchetti (Tisha Stinchfield) of Jay and Kaicey Conant (Clay Swett) of Canton; his great grandchildren, Gerrit, Cameron Sneller, Riley, Elizabeth Keene, Aubrey Stinchfield and Elliana Franchetti; his siblings, George Conant (Pat) and Ann Allen; his sisters-in-law, Joanne Conant and Beverly Conant; and his close friend Jana Twitchell. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, and other cherished family and friends.
Visitation was held on Sunday, November 16th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at 49 Canton Point Rd, Canton, ME 04224. A funeral service was held on Sunday, November 16th 2025 from 12:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, please consider memorial donations to the scholarship fund being established in his name to recognize young dairy enthusiasts that share Duane's passion for Registered Holstein cattle.
