We announce the death of Hermance Pettengill of Lewiston, Maine, who passed away on August 2, 2026, at the age of 84. She was predeceased by: her parents, Norman Morin and Liana Morin (Morrissette); her husband Douglass Pettengill; her brothers, Dick, Bert, Joseph and Roger; her grandson Baby Eduardo; and her stepson Douglas Jr..
She is survived by: her children, Diane Morin of Lewiston, Pauline Flores (Ed) of Poland, Carmen Morin of Lewiston, Rachel Morin of Auburn, Robert Morin (Diane) of Auburn and Maurice Morin (Lisa) of Auburn; her stepdaughter Barbara Gabri (Joe) of Greene; and her caregiver Rebecca. She is also survived by 13 grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren, and 3 great-great-grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, the family has requested that donations be made to the Greater Androscoggin Humane Society (https://gahumane.org) in Lewiston in honor of her love for animals.
