He was predeceased by : his siblings, Mona Hecker, Rose Marie Hecker Hinkle, Gloria Donovan, Herbert Hecker Jr., Gerard Hecker, Francis Hecker, Michael Hecker and Joseph Hecker.

He is survived by : his son Herbert Carl Hecker (Denise Marie Thibodeau Hecker); his daughter-in-law Marilyn Louise Linehan; his wife Marilyn; his children, Ann Dillingham, Stephen Hecker, Eileen Ouellette and Maureen Asadoorian; his sons-in-law, Russell Dillingham, Jacob Ouellette and Derek Asadoorian; his grandchildren, Ryan Dillingham, Kevin Dillingham, Christopher Dillingham, Ace Asadoorian, Owen Asadoorian and Anna Ouellette; and his brother Anthony Hecker (Luzuiminda Torres).

A funeral service was held on Friday, April 26th 2024 at 11:00 AM at the Holy Family Church (607 Sabattus St, Lewiston, ME 04240). A prayer was held on Friday, April 26th 2024 at 12:00 PM at the Mount Hope Cemetery.
