He was predeceased by: his parents, Harry Taggett and Sara Taggett (Hafford); his children, Paul James Taggett and Jamie Lynn Taggett; his siblings, Charles, Irvan, Ralph, Patrick Taggett and Sara A. Johnston; and his brother-in-law Robert Denslow.
He is survived by: his wife Betty M. Taggett (Belanger) of Limestone; his daughter Kelly Wall of Connecticut; his stepsons, James A. Pelkey Jr. (Wendy Cote) of Presque Isle and Jason W. Pelkey (Tammy) of Limestone; his siblings, Cyrus Taggett of Limestone, Hazen Taggett of Caribou, John Taggett of Limestone, Harry "Pete" Taggett of Caribou, Elizabeth Denslow of Kennesaw, GA and Phyllis Brown (John) of Kennesaw, GA; his grandchildren, Tavian, Sierra, Dustin and Brandon; his stepgrandchildren, Chelsea, Daniele, Matt, Rebekah, Ryan, Zach, Chance, Kaylee and Kennedy; and his stepgreat-grandchildren, Selena, Liam, Lila, Jaxson, Brady, Hudson, Evelyn and Haven. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Tuesday, September 30th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Giberson-Dorsey Funeral Home and Cremation Service (144 Main St, Fort Fairfield, ME 04742). A funeral service was held on Tuesday, September 30th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
