He was predeceased by: his parents, Francis M. and Howard Vinal Thornton (Red); and his sisters, Sheryl Anna Broccoli (Carolyn Thornton Ohio) and Donna Thornton St (Hossack). He is survived by: his son Joshua Thornton (PJ); his grandchildren, Rory, Callum, Beckett and Fern of Durham Ontario; and his siblings, John Thornton (Bud) of Lincoln Me and Jill Card (Vern). He is also survived by many nieces, nephews and cousins.
