She was predeceased by: her parents, Harold Coates and Bertha Coates (Goodwin); her husband William A. Mitchell, Jr.; and her brothers, Robert, Earl, Harold and Norman Coates.
She is survived by: her children, William Mitchell of Livermore Falls, Barbara Martin of Bethel, ME and Brenda Van Decker (Jeffery) of Otisfield, ME; and her sister Virginia Burgess. She is also survived by 3 grandsons and 2 great grandchildren.
