He was loved and cherished by many people including : his parents, Ormond Gross Jr. and Doris Soper; his wife Pam Soper; his children, Chris Thoma (Dina), Dan Thoma (Johanna), Amy Soper (Mark), Brandon Soper and Jeremy Soper; his grandchildren, Joel Soper, Brody Soper, Christina Eagerton, Jessica Fish, Ashley Cooper, Derek Thoma, Robin Thoma, Ezra Thoma, Odin Thoma and Liam Thoma; and his great grandchildren, Bentley, Tanner, Alden and Theo.
