He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Ormond Gross Jr. and Doris Soper; his wife Pam Soper; his children, Chris Thoma (Dina), Dan Thoma (Johanna), Amy Soper (Mark), Brandon Soper and Jeremy Soper; his grandchildren, Joel Soper, Brody Soper, Christina Eagerton, Jessica Fish, Ashley Cooper, Derek Thoma, Robin Thoma, Ezra Thoma, Odin Thoma and Liam Thoma; and his great grandchildren, Bentley, Tanner, Alden and Theo.

“He was an incredible person and his family was lucky to have him a part of their lives. I was lucky enough to have met him,wife, kids and to have experienced the families love for each other. He was an incredibly hard worker and working with or for him he kept me going at times just because he would lead by example. I think of him often and I miss him. I'm not a family member but they all invited me for holidays and BBQs they treated me like I was and I needed it. I won't ever forget.”
