He was predeceased by: his parents, James Smith and Marion Smith (Kachnovich); and his half-sister Colleen Hitchcock. He is survived by: his wife Deborah Kachnovich of Livermore; his children, Timothy Kachnovich (Jessica) of Livermore, Toby Kachnovich (Jennifer) of Jay, Courtney Chasse (Bruce) of Madawaska and Owen Keene of Lewiston; his grandchildren, Tyler (Renae), Ainsley, Aubrey, Alaina, Kobe, Mason and Samantha Chasse; and his nephew Peter Hitchcock (Joyce) of Rutland, Massachusetts..
