He was predeceased by: his parents, Clarence Shover and Esther Shover (Smith); his stepson Daniel Piantoni; his brother Larry Shover; his grandson Paul Matthews; and his nieces, Deborah Shover and Kathy Shover-Vattes.
He is survived by: his wife Shirley Shover; his stepchildren, Sharon Heffernan of Livermore, Natalie Matthews (Bob) of Livermore, William Piantoni (Barbara) of Brookville, MA, John Piantoni of Bryant Pond, ME and Matthew Piantoni (Linda Fenderson) of Lyman, ME; his siblings, Richard Shover (Patricia) of Winterville, GA and Rachel Leckey (James) of Auburn, ME.; and his grandchildren, Craig, Bryan, Gina, Meagan, Matt Jr., Olivia and Melissa. He is also survived by 6 great-grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews.
