He is survived by: his friend Raymond; his significant other Serenity Brown; his grandmother Linda Deane; his parents, Laurel Merchant and Steve Hedges; his grandparents, Sterling Deane and Diane Merchant; and his great-grandparent Lorraine Merchant. He is also survived by many extended family members and friends.
Through organ donation, he, saved the lives of three people — a powerful reflection of the compassion and care he, showed throughout his life.
