He was predeceased by: his parents, Hoyt P. Smith and Velora J. Smith (Lamson); his siblings, Ruth Repple (Joseph), Philmore Smith, Hoyt Smith (Barbara) and Charles Smith; his brother-in-law Lester Sine; his siblings' children, Nikki Tubbs, Cheri Lakeman, Louie Repple and Charles Lakeman; and his close friend Cynthia Pash.
He is survived by: his sister Mary Sine; his sisters-in-law, Florence Smith and Pat Smith; and his sibling's children, Sharon Lakeman, Lauren Chandler (Josephine), Julianne Allen, Kathryn Evens, Philmore Smith, Hoyt Smith, Lester Sine, Christopher Sine and Joseph Repple. He is also survived by Many other great nieces/nephews, and cousins.
