He was predeceased by: his parents, Stanley D. Henderson and Vivian P. Henderson (Matthews); and his brother John "Johnny" C. Henderson. He is survived by: his wife Katherine "Kathy" Henderson (Matthews); his sons, Dexter (Miranda) of Wilson's Beach, Dennis (Holly) of Wilson's Beach and New Brunswick; his grandchildren, Logan, Mattyson, Noah, Benjamin, Kassandra, Kendra, Kiaunna, Keirra-Lee, Hunter, Natasha, Stephanie and Dustin; and his great grandchildren, Malcolm, Cali, Wyatt, Gradyn, Kadynce, Cai, Penelope, Ava and Owen.
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests donations be made to Diabetes Canada in Hazen's memory.
