He was predeceased by : his parents, Arthur McCurdy and Evelyn McCurdy (Creath); his siblings, Eugene McCurdy, Kate Warren, Margaret Cook and Marion Ross; and his son-in-law Barry Matthews.
He is survived by : his uncle James; his aunt Ann McCurdy; his wife Suzanne Pike McCurdy; his daughters, Susan Matthews of Hampden and Elizabeth Musacchio (John); his stepson Henry of Saco, Maine; his grandchildren, Melanie Harris (Andy), Ben Matthews (Kim), Samantha Matthews, Megan Millett (Tyler) and Sarah Matthews; his great grandchildren, Alex, Ellie Harris, Marley and Winston Matthews; and his sisters, Carolyn Ray and Irene "Red" Bryant.
